If you are missing rewards - check the possible reasons.
Reason 1. Rewards for non-automatic acceptance tasks have been deducted
There are two types of balance in your toloker profile: inactive and active. Let's see how they differ.
The active balance contains the funds that can be withdrawn from the platform at any time. These are the rewards for tasks that authors have accepted, either automatically or after the quality check. Additionally, this balance includes bonuses that performers receive for high-quality performance of tasks. On the platform interface, the active balance amount is displayed in either green or black color, depending on the device type. If you see funds in this line, then the only possibility of their disappearance is through a successful withdrawal process.
If you have money in an inactive balance, it means that you have earned rewards for tasks that are currently being checked. You can identify this amount as it is displayed in grey or white color in the interface. However, it's important to note that you cannot withdraw money from the inactive balance. The amount will only be transferred to your active balance once the author accepts your completed task. In case your task gets rejected, the money will be deducted from your inactive balance and returned to the customer. You can check your profile's History tab to see which tasks were rejected.
What to do in this case:
- Perform tasks carefully so that the authors accept them.

Reason 2. An incorrect balance from the cache was displayed
When a toloker performs tasks in a thread, the amount of his account is constantly updated. For each successfully completed task, rewards are received: some to the active balance, others to the inactive balance. These updates are sent to the cache — the storage system of the browser or app every minute. Sometimes, though, the cache gets stuck or overloaded, causing delays or even failures in updating the displayed information.
This means that you might complete 10 tasks but only see rewards as if you've completed 5. However, rest assured that the money for all tasks is being added to your account—it's just that the cache hasn't caught up yet, so it's not showing up on the interface.
What to do in this case:
- Clear the cache of the browser or application;
- Restart the application, and if that doesn't help - update or reinstall, then restart the mobile device and log in to the application again.
Reason 3. There were errors in the calculations
In Toloka, task rewards are calculated in US dollars, and authors can set task costs to the nearest tenth of a cent, such as $0.156. This precision sometimes causes smaller amounts to appear visually bigger than larger ones.
This leads to the fact that some tolokers get confused with calculations. It might seem like the account balance decreased after receiving new rewards, but that's not the case.
For instance, let's say you had $0.156 in your active balance. You completed a task worth $0.044 and received the reward, updating the balance to $0.2. At first glance, seeing "20" after the decimal point might seem less than "156." However, in reality, $0.156 plus $0.044 equals 20 cents, which is more than the original balance.
What to do in this case:
- Go to your profile, History tab, and add up all the rewards from your last withdrawal on the calculator; most likely, the amount will match your current balance.
Summary
- Inactive balance (the amount that is displayed in grey or black numbers) in the profile can change depending on whether the author has accepted your tasks or not. The active balance (the amount highlighted in green or white) decreases only after you withdraw money from the platform.
- If the amount on the account does not change during the task performance - you need to update the cache.
- Be careful when calculating rewards.
