When using Toloka, you may be directed to an external platform to complete certain tasks. We will provide you with all the necessary information regarding these tasks, including how to access them, important considerations to keep in mind while completing them, and how you will be compensated for your work.
What are tasks on external platforms?
These are data markup tasks from international crowdsourcing platforms, partners of Toloka. To perform them, a toloker most often does not need to register on other resources - the tasks are built into our interface.
How it works: you find a suitable project in the feed, study it and follow the link to the external platform. As in Toloka, you will perform small tasks there: highlight objects in the photo, mark up text, and evaluate content. Remuneration will come to your Toloka account.
How to get access?
The peculiarity of tasks on external platforms is that they are in foreign languages. To make such tasks appear in your feed, you need to add English and other languages you know to your profile.
Important: do not add more than 3 languages, you may be blocked on external platforms for this.
In addition to the knowledge of languages, it is important to meet other requirements of external platforms. For example, tasks are not available for tolokers from some regions, and some tasks are closed from those who work with VPN.
How to find and open tasks on external platforms?
Unlike regular tasks, external platform projects have an arrow on the "Get Started" button.
Before you click the button - study the task instructions and the reward. You can complete this task without leaving Toloka. Please note that the cost specified here is an approximate estimation. The actual reward you will receive on the external platform may vary depending on several factors such as the availability of tasks, your skills and the quality of your work.
If you have read the description of the task and are ready to try - click "Proceed" and then "Continue" in the opened window.
Your two-hour session on the external platform will open in a new browser tab. Once you have completed all the available tasks there, simply close the tab and return to Toloka.
You need a special mobile app to access UHRS tasks. Read more: How to use the UHRS application to access tasks.
How are these tasks compensated?
Please note that the payment for the completed tasks is not credited immediately. There are several stages involved in the reward process:
- When you take a task from an external platform, it is automatically accepted in Toloka with 0$ reward. To view it, you can navigate to your profile and click on the "History" tab.
- After you have completed the tasks on the external platform and closed the session, within an hour the affiliates count the reward based on how many tasks you have done.
- Once the external platform counts the reward, they will send the money to your Toloka account. This process typically takes from 2 to 24 hours.
- The funds are credited as a bonus to an already accepted task.
Important!
In some tasks, external platforms use non-automatic acceptance - they activate payment only after they check the quality of completed tasks. In this case, the accrued bonuses are first unavailable for withdrawal from Toloka. The money is displayed in gray next to the amount of your balance and has the status "Under review".
The funds will remain in this status for up to a week before moving to the active balance. Once in the active balance, they can be withdrawn from Toloka.
